Preschool Program

"All your children shall be taught by the Lord and great shall be the peace of your children" - Isaiah 54:13

Jesus said, "Let the Little Children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these."
- Matthew 19:14

Our Curriculum Philosophy
:

The curriculum for preschool at NCCS is deigned to support and enrich the development of the whole child - socially, emotionally, physically, spiritually, and intellectually.

The primary method of learning is through hands on exploration and play with the guidance of a qualified teacher. The preschool program consists of emergent integrated units, theme based approaches, projects, and small selection of carefully chosen commercially-created material to supplement the learning in the classroom.

The curriculum will be immersed in Christian principals. Children will have opportunities to learn about God, forgiveness through Jesus, hear Bible stories, and learn about prayers.

Under the guidance of qualified teachers, young children are encouraged to participate in developmentally appropriate activities. Most of the learning will come from the experiences the children have in the child-focused classroom, environment, working/playing with educational toys, and manipulatives, and engaging with materials that promote learning development.

Children will also have the opportunity for teacher directed group times and story times. The program is designed to meet each individual child's learning and developmental need and encourage them to grow.

Since we believe that the parents are the child's first and most important teacher, and that the family is the primary environment for learning, we encourage parent participation. We look forward to cooperation with parents in the development and eduction of their child.

Children must be potty trained and 3 years of age before the start of school.
