Admissions Criteria

Selection of students for admission to North Clackamas Christian School (NCCS) is based on evaluation of the following criteria:

1.) Acceptance of Jesus Christ as personal Savior. This applies to the parent/guardian with whom the student will reside the majority of the school year as well as to the student.

2.) Active involvement in an evangelical church (evangelical in this use is not a denomination). This criteria applies to both the student applying for admission and to at least one parent/guardian of the student with whom the student resides with for the majority of the time during the school year.

3.) Completed recommendation forms (provided in the admissions packet) from a teacher who worked closely with the student in their last school year and one by the student's pastor, youth pastor or Sunday school teacher.

4.) Satisfactory academic achievement (2.00 GPA or a grade average of a "C" or better) in previous school.

5.) Satisfactory behavioral conduct record at previous school(s).

6.) Satisfactory scores on the NCCS admissions test.

7.) A willingness to attend NCCS and abide by the school's rules and lifestyle expectations.

8.) A completed application packet. (available in the front office of NCCS or by calling 503.655.5961 to have one mailed directly to you.)

Students who do not meet qualification #4 above may be placed on a waiting list until after August 15th. At that time the administration may make any remaining space in the appropriate classes/grade levels available after the admissions Committee carefully considers the special factors involved with each deferred-decision application.

NCCS will consider students for admission throughout the school year. The school's preference is to admit students at the beginning of a grading period which best aides in the student's success. It is sometimes difficult, especially at the junior high and high school levels, to enter courses midway through a grading period.

Beginning April 1, 2014 we are offering open enrollment for the 2014-2015 academic year.
